What payment gateways does the LCS support?
LCS can work with a number of payment gateways. Although the
default configuration comes ready to work with Cybercash/Verisign's
Payflow and Authorize.Net there is nothing that would keep
a developer from adding any other type of merchant services.
However, it is important to emphasize that the only payment
gateways that you will be able to use out-of-the-box are Cybercash/Verisign's
Payflow and Authorize.Net.

Can I use the LCS for more than one website?
No. As specified in the terms of the software license you must purchase one license for each website. You cannot purchase one LCS license and then create multiple websites with it.

What are the hardware/software requirements
to run the LCS?
The software requirements are Windows 2000 Server or Advanced
Server, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. There are some advanced
features such as the real-time lookup of postal rates that
will require you to have the latest Microsoft XML Parser

Do you support other database servers
such as Oracle or DB2?
No. Although we will include support for these products in
the future the first release of LCS only works with SQL Server
2000

Why is your software better than many of the other ASP based shopping carts that I can buy?
There are many features included in the Lantia Commerce Server that you will simply not find in similar products. Advanced ecommerce functionality, such as the ability to ship to multiple addresses in a single checkout, backend connections to shipping companies so that shipping expenses will be 100% accurate, featured items, cross-selling and advanced customer management are simply not integrated in other software packages.
