Full catalog, shopping cart and search engine
The Lantia Commerce Server provides you with a catalog in which you can define your own categories. Shoppers can then browse it and add items to their shopping cart. Unlike many other eCommerce applications, the LCS does not require anyone to create an account in order to shop. Users can anonymously purchase items without the need to "register" in the site. In addition, highly accurate searches can be performed on the entire catalog. The search engine will look for words in either the item description or any of the keywords that could have been previously specified for any of the products.

LCS is limited only by your hardware and the physical size of the server where it resides. Lantia uses the latest generation of Active Server Pages and SQL Server 2000 to ensure maximum performance of your site. Unlike other competing products, we do not set a limit or license the software based on how many products you sell.

Allows the user-defined creation of options for each product (size, color, etc...)
Our software goes one step beyond the simple creation of items in a catalog. Each product can have a set of user-defined options such as color, size, model, style, etc... that apply to different retail items. These options are not previously defined or constrained, and can be created by the site administrator.

Includes a wish-list and provides gift registry capabilities
Users that visit the site can create a wish-list with any number of items that they may desire. This wish-list can then be used as a gift registry to let other customers know the items that someone wishes to have purchased for him/her or as a reminder of items that although would be "nice to have" the user would not be ready to purchase at the time.

Real time calculation of shipping expenses by direct connection to USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL
Once you have indicated the weight of the item, the system will automatically calculate the shipping charges upon checkout. These shipping charges will be automatically adjusted for the shipping address and will display all of the available methods for that area. This is accomplished by performing a real-time connection to the servers of UPS, FedEx, DHL, and the US Postal Service and requesting the current pricing for an item of the indicated weight. That way, shipping charges are always current and there is no need to update any shipping methods.

Up-selling and cross selling capabilities
The Lantia Commerce Server allows you to associate items so that you can provide cross-selling capabilities. For example, if someone purchases a pen or a writing utensil, they may be interested in additional refill cartridges for that same product or perhaps would be more receptive to buying stationary. You can define and associate as many or as little items as you want.

Product discounts and sales
The options for each product allow you to offer discounts as a percentage of the product price or as a specific monetary amount. This allows merchants to make specific sales of items when inventory levels are too high or when a certain product needs to be pushed.

Sophisticated back-end interface. Upload images without the need for an FTP client
The backend interface of the Lantia Commerce Server allows you to modify nearly all the aspects of the store administration without having to manipulate HTML files directly. You can even upload images through your browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher required) without the having to use an FTP client.

Stock Level Monitoring
Each product has a field for the amount of items in stock. Whenever one of the is purchased the stock is decreased accordingly. A number of different actions can be programmed into the system for the application to react in different ways when this happens (send an email, hide the item, etc...).

Automated Email notifications
Both registered merchants, system administrators, and online shoppers receive email notifications when a sale takes place. In addition, any other number of triggers can be configured (product inventory threshold, customer actions, etc...)

We use the leading provider of Credit
Card Merchant Services: Cybercash to provide
real time credit card transactions. There
is no need to store orders and credit
card numbers to later on perform batch
processes. LCS will generate and provide
reports of sales on the fly.

Remote back office desk
All of the functions performed by the Lantia Commerce Server
can be remotely managed. Your pages can be deployed in the
servers of any Internet Service Provider that supports Microsoft's
ASP without the need to install any additional software. Images
can be uploaded, pages can be modified, and new templates
can be implemented over a browser and without the need to
use any other tool than Internet Explorer.

Cybercash, Verisign, and Authorize.Net
enabled. Ability to support other payment gateways
The Lantia Commerce Server supports the use of Cybercash/Verisign's
Payflow and Authorize.Net as your merchant services provider.
If you already have an account with any of these companies
all you have to do is enter your merchant ID in the administrative
console to start receiving payments.
